Debi Candlish blues singer, slide guitarist & songwriter from North Carolina, currently based in Australia

Originally from Greensboro in the foothills of North Carolina, USA, surrounded by delta and piedmont blues, Debi, who spent her 1st years of Australia in Melbourne, played her blues and gospel show throughout Victoria’s festival circuit.

Her CD “Ain’t got the Blues’ won the Vic/Tas blues awards of Best Debut Album, Best female vocalist and tied for Best Album with Collard Greens and Gravy! She is now based in FNQ and bringing her own style of blues your way. From the soulful stories of traditional blues & roots tunes like Walkin’ Blues and Rollin’ and Tumblin’ to award-winning originals and blow-your-hair-back stomping sliding swamp.
